Aji no Daio (Flavor King) Noboribetsu Onsenten

Only at Noboribetsu Hot Spring will you find "Jigoku Ramen 0-chome" (¥900), which evokes the image of a bright red demon. This is the signature dish that represents this restaurant. For an additional 50 yen, you can graduate to "1-chome", "2-chome", etc., each raising the heat of the pepper by a notch!

Popular for its spicy bowls
but amidst the heat – meaty umami and richness

This restaurant is popular for its spicy ramen that evokes images of Noboribetsu Onsen's "Hell Valley" and demons. In a play on words with the Japanese word for demon ("oni"), "Jigoku Ramen 0-chome" (Hell Ramen) is topped with sliced onions and is packed with meaty umami and richness amidst the peppery heat. If you think you can handle it, you can have them add more red pepper in "1-chome" increments. Also spicy but served with a syrupy topping is "Enma Ramen" (King of Hell Ramen).

"Miso Curry Ramen" (¥900 ) has a rich and mellow spiciness that unfolds in the mouth.
This is a ramen shop that was opened in 1991 by the current proprietor's predecessor, who trained at Aji no Daio's main store in Tomakomai.
The names of people who were able to work their way up to "Jigoku Ramen 10-chome" or higher are posted on the wall of the restaurant.
