Edible Wild Plant Cookery Grandma

"Daily Special" (¥700) features stewed items based on flavorful homemade stock, with salad, rice, and miso soup.

Home-style cookery and stuffed buns change by the day
to evoke the taste of mothers' cooking and their smiles

This purveyor of set meals, which is open for lunch only, was started in 2009 by local mothers whose average age is over 70. The Daily Special is a set meal with one main dish, a side dish, and pickles that changes by the day. They also have Shiraoi Beef Bowls and simple udon noodles. Many people travel from afar to taste edible wild plant cookery in the spring. If you would like to bring something home as a souvenir, they recommend the Stuffed Buns made with handmade dough and fillings, or the Wild Grass Tea, a handmade blend of 11 wild grasses and grains.
