This French restaurant has been in business for more than 30 years. Its owner is a veteran chef who underwent training at a hotel in France for 6 years, beginning in 1971. After returning to Japan, he opened Ensemble in Sapporo's Chuo Ward. It was highly popular, but his long-cherished wish to "operate a restaurant in a richly natural environment" came true 15 years ago, when he moved to a forest location close to New Chitose Airport.

Ensemble offers authentic, full-course French cuisine made from seasonal ingredients featuring homegrown herbs and local ingredients at a reasonable price. The handmade bread baked on site by an expert bakery chef is also sold at "Cafe Harmony", located next door to the restaurant. The cafe's a la carte menu offers a wide range of items, from paella to oven-baked pizza, so it is recommended for days when you do not have time to enjoy a full-course meal in "Restaurant Ensemble".

From season to season, enjoy the many faces of the forest while spending quality time with fine French good.
